  • The “Rally of Hope,” organized by the Universal Peace Federation (UPF), drew more than 1 million participants from around the world and offered a powerful virtual platform for the global fight against oppression, poverty and racial discrimination.


    This month’s rally — the third such event since August, with a fourth scheduled for December — marked the 70th anniversary of the start of the Korean War, which claimed millions of lives, divided families and sparked seven decades of distrust between Seoul and Pyongyang.


    But speakers at Saturday’s event struck an optimistic tone and argued that despite the heavy barriers that still stand in the way of peace and reunification, there is real reason for hope.

    Young Adults collaborated with Oakland residents to help councilman of the city of Oakland, Noel Gallo, with a community clean up service project. Noel Gallo shared a few remarks on the power of service through God by highlighting that we were chosen by God to be here. Before breaking off into teams, Markus von Euw opened up the service project with a powerful prayer mentioning the hope that we can be a vessel for God to express his love to the Oakland community. That we can be God’s eyes, ears, and hands throughout the service project. 

  • A wonderful evening with David and Arehta sharing their personal stories and wisdom from their experiences in creating authentic relationships during college life and with the matching and blessing, followed by a Q&A session. 

  • There was a beautiful 21st Memorial Ceremony held in Carson City, Nevada on November 4th ( Sept 19th in the 8th year of CIG) which featured a greeting from Dr Chong Shik Yong, Regional President of North America,  as well as a message from Dr Jin Sung Bae, father of Ji Hye Jin and President of the Hyo Jeong Academy from Korea.
